Losergeek.org, Yogyakarta – State-owned railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) launched a promotion dubbed ‘Satset Promo’ (time to be free from traffic congestion), offering a total of 20,000 train tickets at discounted prices.
The offer is valid for bookings from August 16 to 18, 2023, via the KAI Access mobile app and for departures from August 17 to 26, 2023.
A spokesperson for KAI’s Regional Operation or Daop 6 Yogyakarta, Franoto Wibowo, said the program is aimed at providing better service to customers during the celebration of the Indonesian Independence Day.
“Let’s satset (hurry up) to order train tickets during the promotion to commemorate Indonesia’s 78th Independence Day,” Franoto said on Saturday, August 12, 2023.
Franoto said there would be two categories of the promotion. The first one is a regular deal that allows customers to pay 78 percent of the lowest subclasses of the executive, business, or economy class train.
For example, the lowest price of the Argo Dwipangga train for the Gambir – Solo Balapan route is Rp420,000, customers could purchase it for only Rp325,000. A total of 13,140 tickets are available for this deal.
Train Ticket at Rp78,000 for executive class
The second deal is a Flash Sale in which tickets are on sale at only Rp78,000 for the executive class. The tickets can be purchased from 12:00 to 13:00 and from 19:00 to 20:00 Jakarta time. There are 6,920 tickets available in this promotion.
Franoto also said that 38 trains will serve customers in the Satset Promo to and from Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and other cities. “Hopefully, with the presence of the Satset Promo, the KAI Access app will be increasingly in demand by the public and help people who want to travel by train at attractive prices,” he concluded.
